EGS Holds School Supply Drive for Fourth Year
For the fourth year in a row, Expert Global Solutions, Inc. in Mobile partnered with UWSWA to hold a school supplies drive. Approximately 200 employees participated this year by donating various school supplies that will benefit local Mobile County Public School System students.
“Our company strongly believes in giving back to the community and we do our best to participate in several drives annually that specifically benefit our local community,” said EGS Human Resources Generalist Sheila Turner. “Helping children is a logical choice for EGS and our employees stepped up in a big way. Plus, everybody loves school supplies!”
United Way recognizes the importance of children starting school prepared academically and with the needed resources. For many, being able to go to school with a new backpack filled with supplies is all they need to stay on track. Plus, having the necessary school supplies enables students to focus and learn at school.
In total, six moving boxes worth of supplies were collected and distributed to three UWSWA partner agencies: Boys & Girls Clubs of South Alabama, Dumas Wesley Community Center, and Mobile Community Action.
