CYCLE UNITED 2010 set for August 7th

The Inaugural Cycle United – A Community Awareness Bike Ride, was held on Saturday, August 2, 2008. Over 130 cyclists had a unique opportunity to ride across to the community to help raise awareness of United Way and its 58 Community partners. This family-oriented bike ride started and finished at Municipal (Langan) Park Pavilion, and followed the streets of West Mobile and the surrounding communities.

Online Registration:
$30 for adults until 7/24; $40 thereafter
$15 for children under 12 until 7/24; $25 thereafter

Donations to United Way accepted through active.com.

Five Ways to Live United

1. Purchase school supplies for a local school to distribute to children who need them
2. Allow a high school student to shadow you at work and show them how apply things you learned in school
3. Tutor at an adult literacy or technology program
4. Purchase personal care items such as deodorant, toothbrushes and soap and drop them off at the local homeless shelter
5. Help senior citizens learn how to detect and prevent fraud
