Chanteal Black and Buffy Caine Join the UWSWA As Covid-19 Coordinators

The United Way of Southwest Alabama (UWSWA) announces that Chanteal Black and Buffy Caine joined the team as Covid-19 Coordinators. They are responsible for connecting Covid positive households to isolation or quarantine support. The positions are made possible through Covid-19 Wrap around Services Program funded by the Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH) and Mobile County Public Health (MCPH).

Chanteal is from Jackson and graduated from Jackson High School with Honors in May of 2016.  She graduated from Coastal Alabama Community College in Thomasville with Honors in May of 2021.  Chanteal has two wonderful parents Penny and Johnny Black that have helped her become the person she is today. She has three sisters, Zoey, Lacey, and Chanalea. In her spare time, Chanteal enjoys reading and listening to music.  She is also a huge Auburn Tigers fan. GO AUBURN!

Buffy Caine is graduated Marengo Academy in 1991 in Linden and attended Wallace Community College in Selma on a softball scholarship. Her wonderful parents with strong Christian values reared her. She says that although she grew up a Baptist Preacher’s kid, “We aren’t the worst kids like people seem to think.”  Buffy has been married for 30 years to the love of her life. She and her husband have a 23-year-old son and a 16-year-old daughter. I am also a diehard Alabama football and Softball fan. Roll Tide!
