UWSWA Announces Mary Clare Hagood as New Manager of Donor Relations

United Way of Southwest Alabama (UWSWA) announced Mary Clare Hagood as the new Manager of Donor Relations. She will work out of our downtown Mobile location and will utilize her background in community outreach and managing volunteers to build key partnerships throughout Mobile County.

Mary Clare was born and raised in Mobile, Alabama, and has spent her life investing in our local community. She attended Satsuma High School and graduated from The University of South Alabama with a Bachelors of Integrated Studies.  During her time in school, she volunteered on various initiatives including Make-A-Wish® Alabama and the National Association of Letter Carriers’ Stamp Out Hunger® Food Drive.

Since graduation, she has interned and worked for two of our 46 non-profit partner agencies including Feeding the Gulf Coast and Boys and Girls Club of South Alabama. She has also volunteered with McKemie Place, American Red Cross South Alabama Chapter, Volunteers of America Southeast and several local community centers. She is excited to continue this servant leadership at the United Way of Southwest Alabama and we are looking forward to the experience she will bring to our team.

Mary Clare is driven by our community’s success. Her experience gives her confidence when connecting with community members and collaborating with business and community leaders throughout Mobile. She is excited to utilize her education and experience to form relationships with stakeholders, donors, and volunteers to continue to improve the quality of life where we live.
