New Board Trustee Spotlight: Bud McCrory

UWSWA welcomes Bud McCrory to our Board of Trustees. Bud works as the Assistant Director of Administration for Mobile Water and Sewer System. He has a master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of South Alabama.

When asked why he accepted the invitation to the board, Bud responded, “to continue to grow a great organization with a great mission that I believe in.”

Bud enjoys coaching sports and being on the water in his free time. He also loves spending quality time with his family. He, his wife Danielle, and their three children enjoy their family traditions of vacationing at Lake Martin in the summers and Disney World in the fall.

What does leadership mean to you?

“Leadership is the cornerstone for a successful organization.  Proper leadership enables organizations to strive and become leaders among others.  Leaders should be honest, have a focus, have a passion for what they are leading, respect all, and have the ability to build relationships.”

What do you want Southwest Alabama to look like?

“Southwest Alabama should be a community that people want to raise a family.  When recruiting for businesses or employees, our community should be one that has leaders working together for a common goal, allow for freedom of expression, promote fairness, promote interaction among members, and maintain sensitivity toward other community leaders.  It should be one where neighbors take pride in their living environment, respecting and supporting one another regardless of age, gender, race or creed.”
