Unite for Project Homeless Connect

For one day each year, resources and volunteers across the city of Mobile unite to connect the most vulnerable residents to vital resources. By mobilizing city and community agencies, as well as hundreds of volunteers, Project Homeless Connect (PHC) is able to ensure that participants receive holistic care in a dignified setting.

Project Homeless Connect (PHC) will give people experiencing homelessness the opportunity to access an array of services (housing, medical services, identification services, veterans’ services, employment services, pet care, haircuts, etc.) in a system which is often difficult to understand and navigate.

Because of this one-stop-shop model, what often takes months to accomplish can be completed in one day. From employment counselors to mental health professionals, to housing assistance programs, the goal of PHC is to ensure participants have all the tools necessary to rebuild what they have lost and move forward.

This year PHC is taking place on Thursday, January 28, 2016 from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. and will be located at the Mobile Fairgrounds. Transportation to and from the event will be provided. For more information, please call 251-450-3345.

In order to make this event a success, we need your help! Volunteers are needed. You can volunteer as both an individual or as group. Please visit Volunteer Connect for a list of available PHC volunteer opportunities.

Project Homeless Connect is a Housing First Inc.’s annual event and is sponsored by UWSWA, PNC Bank, and The Grounds.
