Women United® is an empowering leadership society of the United Way of Southwest Alabama dedicated to harnessing the power and dedication of women leaders to transform our communities.

Established in 2002, Women United brings together dynamic women from across the region who are passionate about making a significant impact. As a member, you will join a vibrant and diverse network of over 70,000 women worldwide, all committed to working to create healthy communities, youth opportunities, financial security, and community resiliency of every person in our community.

Joining Women United means becoming part of an exclusive yet inclusive group of proactive women. Membership is open to those who contribute an annual gift of $1,000 or more ($38.47 bi-weekly or $83.34 monthly).

Here are the ways you can begin your journey as a member of Women United:

  • Individual Donations: Make your qualifying donation via cash, check, debit, or credit card. Options for one-time or recurring donations are available.

  • Workplace Giving Campaign: Check if your workplace has a United Way Employee Giving Campaign. Contributions through such campaigns may qualify you for Women United status. Call us at 251-433-3624 to verify your employer’s participation.

  • Employer Sponsorship: Employers can sponsor and cover employee participation fees as part of professional development. Contact United Way to arrange this.
