United Way of Southwest Alabama has expanded its Community Crisis Fund to support Hurricane Isaias relief and recovery efforts across nine counties in Southwest Alabama and Northwest Florida. The expanded fund allows individuals, businesses, and organizations to contribute directly to recovery efforts in communities affected by the storm, with the option to designate the county they wish to support.
The fund now includes Baldwin, Clarke, Conecuh, Escambia, Mobile, and Monroe Counties in Alabama, along with Escambia, Okaloosa, and Santa Rosa Counties in Florida.
United Way will distribute donations to nonprofit agencies and community organizations providing Hurricane Isaias relief and recovery assistance in the designated counties. By working with organizations serving affected communities, United Way will direct resources toward local needs as families and communities recover from the storm.
“Recovery doesn’t stop at county or state lines,” said Justine Bixler, President and CEO of United Way of Southwest Alabama. “Expanding the Community Crisis Fund gives people throughout our region an opportunity to help neighbors affected by Hurricane Isaias. Whether donors want to support a specific county or contribute to the broader recovery effort, we will work with local organizations to ensure those gifts support the communities that need them.”
