The 29th Annual Day of Caring is fast approaching, and we are calling all volunteer groups to participate in one of the largest single days of volunteerism in Southwest Alabama. This is a great opportunity to make a positive impact in our community by giving your time and skills to those in need.
Day of Caring, hosted by United Way of Southwest Alabama (UWSWA), brings together thousands of volunteers to work on projects that benefit the community. We have partnered with 45 local agencies to provide volunteer teams with a variety of project opportunities, ranging from painting and making repairs, to planting trees and readying gardens for planting, to sorting food donations, with full day to half-day projects.
This year, the Day of Caring will take place on Friday, April 28, 2023. All volunteers will receive a t-shirt and a chance to hear inspiring stories from agency representatives and clients who have benefited from UWSWA funding and the projects completed in previous years.
The deadline to register your team is March 16, 2023. You can register your team online at https://www.supersaas.com/form/UWSWAPrograms/DOC_Company_Participation_2023. We encourage teams of all sizes to participate, as this is a great way to team-build and boost morale within your organization.
Make plans to join us for the 29th Annual Day of Caring and see firsthand how your efforts can make a difference in the lives of those in our community
