Designating Donation
How We Invest
United Way partner agencies are able to benefit from designated donations from corporations and individuals, as well as participation in our annual allocations process. This process distributes funding generated by workplace giving campaigns involving over 400 local businesses, educational institutions, hospitals, and municipalities.
We ensure that all contributions raised in Southwest Alabama are reinvested locally to directly benefit our communities. Decision-making regarding investments and partnerships is conducted locally, with trained volunteers and Board members representing our corporate partners, ensuring that the community’s needs are at the forefront of each decision.
