Meet Erica Berger, our dedicated Office Manager at United Way of Southwest Alabama, who has been contributing her skills and passion to our team since May 29, 2018. Erica’s journey with us began as a temporary part-time position during the holidays, where she quickly became inspired by the impactful work and services provided by UWSWA and its partner agencies to the community. Motivated by the mission to improve the quality of life for all, Erica eagerly accepted a full-time position when the opportunity arose.
Before joining United Way, Erica boasts an impressive background in International Logistics & Freight Transportation, accumulating 20 years of professional experience. In her current role as Office Manager, Erica takes on a diverse range of responsibilities, with a primary focus on supporting the team and ensuring the seamless operation of our office. Erica’s work significantly contributes to the efficiency of our organization, streamlining day-to-day operations to positively impact the community. Her dedication aligns with our mission to ensure every person has access to life’s basic essentials.
Outside of the office, Erica’s interests include spending quality time with her family, pursuing photography, and embarking on mini road trips. An interesting facet of Erica that might surprise others is her passion for restoring old furniture.
In her own words, Erica finds motivation in the quote, “Dream as if you’ll live forever. Live as if you’ll die today.” — James Dean. We are grateful to have Erica as an integral part of our team, contributing to the positive impact we strive to make in the community.
