Marleigh Rollins is a driven and passionate intern with United Way of Southwest Alabama. A senior at Davidson High School, Marleigh plans to pursue a major in Physical Therapy with a minor in Dance. Born and raised in Mobile, she’s excited to take this next step in her journey while giving back to her community.
Marleigh views her internship as a valuable opportunity to gain real-world job experience and explore different fields that may shape her future. Her ultimate goal is to work as a physical therapist, ideally traveling with professional dance companies or working alongside college dance teams—allowing her to combine her passion for dance with her career aspirations.
When she’s not in class, you can find Marleigh participating in cheer and dance or spending time with friends and family to unwind and recharge. One of her favorite family traditions is celebrating Christmas Eve—also her mother’s birthday—with a full day of fun, games, karaoke, delicious food, and opening one special gift.
Marleigh believes that improving the quality of life in a community starts by identifying its needs and actively working to meet them. Her thoughtful and energetic approach to life is best captured by her favorite quote from Maya Angelou: “My mission in life is not merely to survive but to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.”
