United Way of Southwest Alabama is excited to announce the launch of its new Affiliate Agency Program, a strategic initiative designed to broaden our community impact by incorporating diverse services and providers into our network. This expansion will allow us to better serve the residents of Choctaw, Clarke, Mobile, and Washington counties.
The Affiliate Partners program offers non-profits a valuable opportunity to align with and contribute to our community-focused efforts. By becoming an Affiliate, agencies can enhance their impact and visibility while collaborating in our collective mission to improve community life. Affiliates are eligible to receive designations from donors, although they are not eligible for allocations or benefits such as the Alabama State Sales Tax Exemption.
“We are thrilled to welcome our new Affiliate Agencies and are confident that their inclusion will significantly enhance our ability to meet the needs of our community,” said Justine Bixler, President and CEO of United Way of Southwest Alabama. “This program represents a significant step forward in our efforts to support a broader range of services and providers, ensuring that we can make a more substantial and meaningful impact together.”
The Affiliate Agencies joining UWSWA are:
- Child Day Care Association
- Communities of Transformation
- Crittenton Youth Services
- Embrace Alabama Kids
- Mobile Area Education Foundation
- Southwest Alabama RSVP
- Opportunity 4 Entertainers & Performing Arts
- The Learning Tree
- YMCA of South Alabama
Each of these agencies brings unique strengths and services that will complement and enhance the overall mission of United Way. From child care and youth services to education and the arts, these agencies represent a diverse array of programs that address critical needs within our community.
“We look forward to the collaborative efforts and positive outcomes that will result from our affiliation with these outstanding organizations,” stated Lindsay Lum, Director of Agency Relations and Community Engagement. “Together, we can achieve greater success and bring about lasting change in the lives of those we serve.”
