United Way of Southwest Alabama is pleased to announce the 2023-24 Allocations & Designations to our valued partner agencies serving Mobile County. Through the generosity of corporations, organizations, and individual donors, United Way is able to distribute essential funding that directly supports our local communities.
United Way partner agencies benefit from designated donations from corporations and individuals, as well as participation in our annual allocations process. This comprehensive process distributes funds generated by workplace giving campaigns conducted by over 400 local businesses, educational institutions, hospitals, and municipalities. We reinvest the funds raised in Mobile County back into the community to ensure contributions directly benefit our area.
Trained volunteers and Board members, representing our corporate partners, make decisions about investments locally, ensuring that the community’s needs are prioritized. These dedicated volunteers thoroughly review each agency’s funding request to allocate every dollar effectively and efficiently, addressing the most pressing needs of our communities.
