United Way of Southwest Alabama (UWSWA) is proud to announce the 2024 Washington County Annual Meeting, set to take place on August 20 at the Chatom Community Center. Sponsored by SmartBank, Thompson Gas, and Town of Chatom, this event will celebrate the outstanding contributions of volunteers and organizations who have significantly impacted the Washington County community.

The annual meeting will recognize those who have selflessly dedicated their time, skills, and resources towards building a stronger and more resilient community. In addition to honoring these local heroes, the event will provide an opportunity to reflect on the successes of the past year and share exciting plans and initiatives for the coming year.

“We are thrilled to gather and celebrate the incredible work being done in Washington County,” said Justine Bixler, President & CEO of United Way of Southwest Alabama. “Our volunteers and partners are the heart of our mission, and this event is our way of thanking them for their unwavering commitment to making a difference.”

The doors will open at 5 PM, allowing attendees to enjoy refreshments and network with fellow community members before the program begins at 6 PM. During the program, attendees will hear inspiring stories of impact and learn about the new initiatives UWSWA has planned for the year ahead.
