United Way’s Day of Caring: A Symphony of Service Agencies and Teams

As we celebrate our 30th Annual Day of Caring: A Symphony of Service, we’re thrilled to announce that this year, we’re expanding our impact with FOUR different Days of Caring! From Wednesday, April 24 to Saturday, April 27, 2024, United Way partners and other local service agencies have provided a variety of volunteer opportunities for participating local businesses. From painting and repairs to planting trees, preparing gardens for planting, and sorting food donations, volunteer teams will actively contribute to projects that make a real difference in our community.

“We are excited to celebrate the 30th anniversary of our Day of Caring by expanding the event to four days,” said Lindsay Lum, Director of Agency Relations and Community Engagement at United Way of Southwest Alabama. “This expansion reflects our dedication to facilitating meaningful community engagement and addressing critical needs across our region.  We are grateful for the businesses, organizations, and individuals joining us in striking the perfect chord of service and making a resounding difference in the lives of those we serve.”

This collaborative effort celebrates the diversity of backgrounds, skills, and perspectives that volunteers bring to the table, forming a symphony of service that echoes the unity within our community.
