The Austal USA 2023 Charity Invitational Golf Tournament was Friday, March 24 at Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Magnolia Grove. United Way of Southwest Alabama (UWSWA), Mulherin Home, and VOA Southeast’s Eagle’s Landing are the beneficiaries of the tournament proceeds.

Last year, Austal raised $200,000 for local charities through the tournament, and since its inception in 2012, it has raised a total of $1.9 million. Austal’s commitment to supporting the local community is evident in the continued success of this annual event.

“It is so important to Austal USA that we are a strong corporate citizen,” Austal USA President Rusty Murdaugh said. “This event provides our team with an opportunity to give back to a community that has continually supported us and has been critical to our growth. Just as important, it gives us an opportunity to say thank you and show support for organizations like the United Way that are improving quality of life and helping our community thrive.”

We extend our sincere gratitude to the Austal planning committee, all the teams, and sponsors who have made this event possible.
