Emerging Leaders Mardi Gras Social

United Way of Southwest Alabama’s Emerging Leaders are thrilled to announce the return of their highly anticipated annual Mardi Gras Social. Scheduled to take place on Tuesday, February 6, from 4:30 to 6:30 PM, this event promises an evening of celebration and community spirit before the Order of LaShe’s parade in downtown Mobile.

The Mardi Gras Social, a beloved tradition hosted by United Way’s Emerging Leaders, is a gathering dedicated to embracing the Mobile community’s vibrancy and the festive spirit of the Mardi Gras season. Open to all ages, the event invites individuals to join in the revelry and connect with like-minded professionals.

“We are excited to once again bring together individuals passionate about making a difference in our community,” stated Justine Bixler, President and CEO of the United Way of Southwest Alabama. “This event not only celebrates the joy of Mardi Gras but also embodies our commitment to volunteerism and philanthropy in Southwest Alabama.”

Attendees will be treated to a delightful array of experiences, including a delectable taco bar courtesy of Taco Mama and refreshing beverages provided by Gulf Distributing Company. It’s an excellent opportunity for like-minded professionals to network and connect ahead of the Order of LaShe’s Parade, set against the vibrant backdrop of downtown Mobile.

The Emerging Leaders program, catering to young professionals aged 21 to 40, is dedicated to enhancing the community’s quality of life through volunteer work and philanthropic initiatives. This Mardi Gras Social serves as a platform to further unite and engage individuals in these meaningful efforts.

To attend the event at our downtown office (218 St. Francis Street, 36602), pre-registration is required and can be completed via https://24-ELMardiGrasSocial.eventbrite.com. The event is made possible through the generous support of sponsors including the Gulf Distributing Company, Mobile County Commission, and Taco Mama.
