To help ease the process and equip individuals with the knowledge they need for a stress-free experience, United Way of Southwest Alabama is presenting a free seminar: Tax Time Tips & Tricks: Best Practices for a Smooth Tax Filing Experience on Saturday, January 11, at 11 AM. The event will take place in the meeting room at the West Regional branch of the Mobile Public Library (5555 Grelot Road, Mobile, AL 36606).
Led by Brad Martin, United Way’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program Coordinator, this interactive session will:

- Debunk common myths about taxes.
- Highlight pitfalls to avoid when filing to ensure compliance with IRS regulations.
“Like it or not, tax time is around the corner, and it can feel like there’s so much to know,” said Brad Martin. “But filing taxes doesn’t have to be stressful if you approach it with the right tools and confidence. This presentation is designed to help participants navigate the process with ease and clarity.”
