United Way of Southwest Alabama (UWSWA), in partnership with Williams, is proud to announce a Choctaw County Food Distribution event to support families facing food insecurity in the region. The drive-through distribution will take place on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Choctaw General Hospital, 401 Vanity Fair Avenue, Butler, Alabama 36904.
Food will be available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. Participants must be present and provide a valid Alabama ID to receive food. Each individual may receive up to two boxes of food, with a limit of two families (two valid Alabama IDs) per vehicle.
The event is made possible through the generous support of Williams and Choctaw General Hospital, with food provided by Feeding the Gulf Coast, a United Way of Southwest Alabama partner agency.
“We are grateful to our partners for making this food distribution possible for Choctaw County residents,” said Justine Bixler, President and CEO of United Way of Southwest Alabama. “Together, we are helping strengthen community resiliency by ensuring families have access to essential resources.”
