United Way of Southwest Alabama proudly celebrated Gigi Armbrecht and Conrad Armbrecht II and their extraordinary legacy of leadership, generosity, and service to Southwest Alabama during a special reception held May 13 at the University of South Alabama President’s Home.
Community leaders, Alexis de Tocqueville Society members, donors, and supporters gathered to recognize the Armbrecht’s lasting impact on the region through decades of civic leadership, philanthropy, and community investment.
During the evening, United Way introduced the Gigi & Conrad Armbrecht Giving Circle within the 1926 Society. The new recognition level honors individuals whose lifetime giving totals between $300,000 and $499,999 and celebrates a legacy of service and generosity that continues to strengthen Southwest Alabama.
For more than 25 years, Gigi and Conrad Armbrecht have supported United Way of Southwest Alabama through the Alexis de Tocqueville Society. Their combined giving has helped provide support and services to 28,037 individuals across Southwest Alabama.
United Way also recognized Janée and Jo Bonner for graciously hosting the reception and helping make the celebration possible.
“As we celebrate 100 Years of Impact, we are proud to honor leaders like Gigi and Conrad whose generosity and commitment continue to inspire our community and strengthen lives across Southwest Alabama,” said Justine Bixler, President and CEO of United Way of Southwest Alabama.
United Way of Southwest Alabama thanks everyone who attended the reception and everyone who continues to support efforts that create opportunity and lasting impact throughout the region.
