United Way Announces Special Presentation from Jan Hume, Acting Secretary of Alabama Department of Early Childhood Education at the 2023 Annual Meeting
United Way of Southwest Alabama (UWSWA) is thrilled to announce that in addition to the esteemed keynote speaker, Dr. Ron Ferguson, Ph.D., founder and president of The Basics, the 2023 Annual Meeting will feature a special presentation from Dr. Jan Hume, the Acting Secretary of the Alabama Department of Early Childhood Education (ADECE). Dr. Hume brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in Alabama public policy and administration, particularly in the field of early childhood education. The event will take place on August 10, 2023, at The Battle House Renaissance Mobile Hotel & Spa, located at 26 N Royal St, Mobile, AL 36602.
Jan Hume’s distinguished career and her unwavering dedication to early childhood education have positioned her as a driving force in ensuring Alabama’s children have the best possible start for future success. With her experience at ADECE and her influential role at the forefront of critical education initiatives, Jan brings valuable insights and strategies to our Annual Meeting.
