Join United Way of Southwest Alabama and Verizon on Saturday, August 15 at 9:30AM (doors open at 9AM) for the 2026 Disaster Resilience Forum featuring renowned meteorologist James Spann at the National Maritime Museum of the Gulf Coast. Spann will share insights on severe weather threats facing the Gulf Coast, disaster preparedness, and the steps families and communities can take to stay safe before, during, and after a storm. The forum is open to the public and welcomes residents, community leaders, volunteers, and anyone interested in strengthening disaster readiness across Southwest Alabama.

Tickets are $10 per person. Children 3 and under are free.
