Meet Alicia Wilson, a Spring Hill College student majoring in marketing with a minor in accounting. Through her internship with United Way of Southwest Alabama, Alicia is gaining hands-on experience and valuable insight into the nonprofit world while preparing for her future career. This opportunity has allowed her to expand her knowledge, develop professional skills, and experience the impact of United Way’s work both in the office and throughout the community.

Originally from Tenerife in the Canary Islands, Spain, Alicia brings a unique perspective and passion for learning to her role. After graduating in December 2026, she hopes to pursue a career related to her major and minor while building a strong foundation for her future.

Alicia has participated in volunteer events and workshops through Spring Hill College, further strengthening her commitment to serving others. She believes improving the quality of life in a community starts with being authentic, pursuing your goals, and recognizing that even small actions can make a difference in someone’s day.

Outside of academics, Alicia enjoys spending time on the tennis court and cherishes her family tradition of Sunday roast dinners when she is back home.
