Meet Ja’Covia Jordan, a psychology major at Western Governors University and a proud Mobile, Alabama native. Through her internship with United Way of Southwest Alabama, Ja’Covia is gaining valuable professional experience, building connections, and growing her skills while making an impact in her community. She is passionate about mental health and hopes to one day start a nonprofit focused on supporting teenagers and young adults.

Ja’Covia has a strong commitment to service and has volunteered with organizations and events including the Autism Walk, Special Olympics, and food giveaways through her church. These experiences have strengthened her belief that everyone deserves support, encouragement, and opportunities to thrive.

When she is not working as a Registered Behavioral Technician or spending time with family, Ja’Covia enjoys traveling to Orlando with her loved ones. Her vision for improving communities is simple: giving support to those in need and helping others know they are not alone.
