We are pleased to welcome Kelly Morgan to the team as Operations Coordinator. Kelly brings more than 10 years of experience strengthening operations, coordinating cross functional teams, and supporting mission driven work across nonprofit, healthcare, and technology environments.
Kelly was drawn to this role by a deep commitment to community service and a strong personal connection to Mobile. She was seeking an opportunity where her work could directly support the people and organizations that make this city strong. What inspires her most about United Way of Southwest Alabama is working alongside people who care deeply about the community and are committed to showing up where it matters.
Professionally, Kelly is known for streamlining administrative processes, managing vendors and volunteers, coordinating meetings and events, and supporting budget tracking and reporting. Her background includes managing complex timelines, optimizing CRM systems, overseeing documentation and workflows, and aligning operational systems with organizational goals. She brings a collaborative, servant leadership approach that helps teams work more effectively together while keeping the mission front and center.
Kelly approaches work life balance with honesty and intention. While she admits there is no perfect balance, she focuses on being fully present in whatever she is doing, whether that is at work or with her family. She believes real life often means those worlds overlap, and what matters most is making time for the people and commitments that truly count.
Outside of work, Kelly enjoys cooking for her family and firmly believes there are 6 Love Languages, one of them being home cooked meals. She is the proud mom of 15 year old twin boys and has genuinely enjoyed teaching them to drive. A former marathon coach, Kelly has completed more than 10 marathons. She is also a dedicated swim parent who does not mind long swim meets, even when her kids only compete for a few minutes, because she loves cheering for every athlete on the team and celebrating the hard work they put in.
Kelly holds a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications and Journalism from the University of Montevallo. Her family motto, “Morgans are winners,” serves as a steady reminder to keep working toward goals, never give up, and show up with determination and heart.
We are excited to have Kelly on the team and look forward to the care, dedication, and operational strength she brings to United Way of Southwest Alabama..
