United Way Thanks Chandra Motley For Her Service as a 2021 Loaned Executive
United Way of Southwest Alabama (UWSWA) thanks Chandra Motley for her dedicated service to UWSWA as a 2021 Annual Campaign Loaned Executive. Chandra is a Community Outreach Specialist with a focus on financial literacy and financial education for The First Bank in Mobile, Alabama. Chandra has been in the banking industry close to a decade in various roles, including mortgage lending, insurance collateral tracking, and HMDA data reporting.
Chandra was born and raised in Mobile and graduated from McGill-Toolen Catholic High School. She continued her education at the University of South Alabama, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a concentration in Public Relations and minoring in economics. Along with joining UWSWA this Fall as a Campaign Fundraising Specialist-Loaned Executive, Chandra also graduated from this year’s Project Blueprint class. She currently serves as the 2021-2022 diversity and inclusion chair for the Junior League of Mobile and an volunteer educator for Junior Achievement of Mobile at CF Vigor High School for 10th & 11th graders. She is also a member of the Mobile Area Black Chamber of Commerce, Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce, American Bankers Association & Society of Financial Education and Professional Development, Inc.
Authenticity, self-discipline and integrity are three principles her parents and elders instilled in her at an early age. With these principles and values as a foundation, Chandra has a deep-rooted passion for giving back to the community through philanthropic efforts, community service and being a source of knowledge and motivation by mentoring the youth.
In her free time, Chandra enjoys spending time with family & friends, traveling and expanding her knowledge both personally and professionally.
