Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library was designed to encourage reading to preschool children. Each month after a child is registered – until their fifth birthday – a carefully selected, age-appropriate book is sent to the child’s home. There is no cost to the family; UWSWA provides the books free of charge.

Currently, only children living in Choctaw County and Mobile County are eligible.

A total of 407 were served in Mobile County and together received 1,734 books in 2022-23. In Choctaw County, 106 children were served by Imagination Library and 1,1064 books were distributed to them. In Mobile County, 90 children were served by Imagination Library and 670 books were distributed to them.
