United Way of Southwest Alabama and TruBridge are coming together to support families during the holiday season with a community food distribution on Friday, December 19, 2026 at 8AM at the Africatown Hall and Food Bank located at 2201 Paper Mill Road in Mobile.

In the true spirit of the holiday season, TruBridge chose to give back to the community rather than host a traditional party. Their team will spend the morning volunteering onsite and helping prepare and distribute food boxes to households across the region. Their commitment reflects the power of shared service and the impact created when local partners invest their time and care into strengthening the community.

“We are grateful for TruBridge and their shared commitment to supporting families in our community,” said United Way of Southwest Alabama President and CEO Justine Bixler. “Their decision to spend this season serving others speaks to the kind of partnership that strengthens our region and brings immediate help to neighbors who need it.”

Food boxes will be available on a first come first serve basis while supplies last. Each household receiving a box must present a valid ID. Volunteers will guide traffic, assist families, and ensure the distribution runs smoothly.

Food insecurity affects many families throughout the year, and seasonal pressures often make the need even greater. Events like this bring stability, nourishment, and hope to households that may be facing difficult circumstances. United Way is grateful for partners like TruBridge who continue to uplift neighbors and reinforce the importance of community support.

United is the Way to a stronger and more resilient Southwest Alabama.
