
United Way of Southwest Alabama Emerging Leaders will host a Pickle Ball Tournament on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Pickle Rage in Mobile. The event will bring together young professionals, local businesses, and community supporters for a morning of competition, networking, and philanthropy as part of United Way’s 100 Years of Impact celebration.
Check in begins at 8:00 a.m. and tournament play starts at 9:00 a.m. Teams of 2 players can compete in an open beginner bracket that welcomes any team makeup, along with intermediate divisions for women’s doubles, men’s doubles, and mixed doubles. Participants will also enjoy lunch, door prizes, split the pot, and a speedball challenge throughout the event.
United Way Emerging Leaders is a network of young professionals ages 21 to 40 who focus on service, leadership, philanthropy, and community impact across Southwest Alabama. Members support United Way initiatives through volunteer projects, networking opportunities, professional development, and fundraising efforts that strengthen local communities. Together, Emerging Leaders members contribute more than $30,000 annually to support United Way’s mission throughout the region.
“Emerging Leaders creates opportunities for young professionals to connect with one another while making a real difference in Southwest Alabama,” said Lauren Luckie-Merz, Director of Philanthropy for United Way of Southwest Alabama. “This tournament combines fun, teamwork, and community engagement while supporting programs that help families and individuals across our region.”
