Meet Geneva Kyles, a criminology and criminal justice major with a minor in communications at the University of Alabama and a proud Mobile, Alabama native. Through her internship with United Way of Southwest Alabama, Geneva is gaining real-world experience, developing professional skills, and learning from experienced professionals as she prepares for her future career.

After graduating, Geneva plans to attend law school and pursue a career as a personal injury or family lawyer. She is also passionate about social work and hopes to make a meaningful difference by helping individuals and families navigate life’s challenges.

When she is not in class or completing schoolwork, Geneva enjoys reading and watching movies. One of her favorite family traditions is gathering every Sunday for dinner, spending quality time together, and staying connected.

Geneva believes one of the best ways to improve the quality of life in a community is by investing in education, supporting schools, expanding tutoring programs, creating job training opportunities, and promoting economic growth so individuals and families can achieve long-term stability.
