2021 Staff Spotlight – Erica Berger

Office Manager Erica Berger joined United Way of Southwest Alabama when she was hired as temporary help during the holidays. She enjoyed the work so much that she wanted to stay. “An opportunity came up and they called and asked if I was interested and I was,” she said. “I’ve been here for 3 years.”
Erica is most passionate about raising funds for the less fortunate in our community “so that they can get the services they need.” Her favorite project is the Day of Caring.
Erica’s favorite vacation was a trip to Belize about 15 years ago. “I loved snorkeling and deep-sea fishing and relaxing,” she said. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, and brand new puppy, Luna.
