Engaging the Next Generation is a collaborative program that was established in 2008 by Mobile United and Mobile County Commissioner Merceria Ludgood- District 1 to showcase nonprofit organizations in the Mobile area and connect them with the innovators of the next generation. In 2019, UWSWA accepted program management and planning in combination with our Emerging Leaders Affinity Group.
United Way Emerging Leaders are tomorrow’s community leaders and philanthropists. United Way gives them the chance to serve, connect, and grow. Membership benefits include invitations to special Emerging Leaders Society only events, special professional development luncheons with community leaders, hands-on volunteer opportunities, and the ability to connect and engage with other professionals who have the same passion and philanthropic drive.
To become a member, individuals ages 21-30, make an annual contribution to United Way of Southwest Alabama of $125, and individuals ages 31-40 contribute an annual donation of $250.
